Wade is a programmer/analyst for National Instruments, and (for some strange reason) loves all of the Resident Evil movies. Ginny works in IT for a home health agency, and still eats SpaghettiOs. But usually only for lunch. Wade has a comic book character name, and Ginny just has a really cool last name. That’s also kind-of a comic book character name. So basically they’re both nerds, and are perfect for one another. Oh, and they have a dog named Scout. He’s a little dramatic sometimes, but he’s cute so it’s okay.

They met in 2013 at a restaurant in Austin (Opal Devine’s…yum!), and if it wasn’t love-at-first-sight, it was definitely major interest (on her part) and considerable fascination (on his part). He was sporting crutches on the first date (knee surgery…ouch!), and she couldn’t stop talking. Thus began their courtship. Scout wasn’t quite so easily wooed. He eventually decided that Wade made the cut, but there may have been food bribes that influenced his decision. And possibly frisbee throwing.

They’ve had many adventures together, including several trips to the Wilson farm in Kansas, Disney World, San Francisco, a Caribbean cruise (which technically also happened at Disney World…but with pirates), and South Padre Island. Scout had his own adventures at Grandma’s house while his humans traversed the country.

Wade proposed on February 11th, 2015. Ginny was so surprised she forgot to say yes…for about 10 seconds. In her defense, it was very sneakily done. They decided to set a date of June 4th, 2016, and to have the wedding & reception on Ginny’s parents’ property in Lampasas, Texas. Scout likes it there.
